It would be difficult to answer this question without knowing a little more space.

Is concrete and wood at the same level currrently? Since wood is there, and what kind of wood it is? More importantly, what is the basement in the woods?

First I want to make sure that the wood is safe and resting at least a 3 / 4 "Keller. If the cement is higher than wood of 1 / 8" or more, use an appropriate thickness of plywood to increase the height. If the wood is greater, the specific use to increase the height of the existing concrete.

Use has a brick and mortar with a polymer will give them a little more flexible and help with the link in the forest.

For wood, you need to screw the leaves Hardi-sponsor and a float of leveling. At this point you can use the leveling compound to increase the concrete floor at the same height as the tip of the Bold-sponsor. What the whole night. The next day, add a layer of thinset on the leveling compound, followed by a pallet of leaves, and another layer of thinset to the tables.

The Slipsheet is laminated on a sheet of paper that the different thermal expansion and contraction of the cellar and tables, avoiding cracks in the tile and grout joints to thermal expansion and contraction possible.

In addition to the above, it would be good to put an expansion joint in the wood and concrete. This is merely a division of mortar, prepared to seal off line along the common acyclic, which is with color matching silicone or Color Color Rite-Sil silicone caulking to fill (because) it is a wetland. My favorite base layer on the two covers Schluter "DITRA, but your wood floor needs to be properly structured and is well connected with the concrete. It is always a difference of motion between two sides, if a increase / decrease, so that the expansion joint is a necessity .

If the ground is level, I just want to paint some Redguard (under the tile Lowes or Home Depot) on it. Use a brush, which is much simpler than one role. Follow the instructions on the Redguard. It is a great thing!
